So I noticed my office mate's face after seeing it glowing (not really glowing but it's like the kind of glow after peeling) and I love it. I don't have a lot of pimples but because of the color of my skin, dark spots and some pimple scars are visible so I think the only way to resolve this is by means of peeling, however, I am not fan of peeling especially on my face because I have read a lot of horror stories about micro-peeling or unfortunate people who used maxi-peel too much that their face became too reddish and kind of shiny in a bad way. And this office mate of mine recommended this product by Dr. Alvin called Professional Skin Care Formula named after the same Doctor.
It comes with 4 different products:
1. Rejuvenating Soap (Kojic)
2. Rejuvenating Facial Toner
3. Rejuvenating Cream
4. Sunblock gel or cream
I have been using kojic soap in my body ever since and it helps me remove some dead skin cells but this one I guess is stronger than those soaps I have been purchasing at Mercury Drug.
Based on the instruction, you need to use this for 30 days straight, Morning and Evening. The difference is that in the morning, you are required to use the Sunblock Gel or Cream against direct sunlight since I am working during night time, I will still use the sunblock to fight the UV ray coming from the computer screen.
I never felt anything weird after I use it for the very first time. My face did not feel any dryness but I don't like the smell of the toner.
Same thing. It feels like nothing's happening.
I can feel the burning sensation every time I put the moisturizing cream. I also read on one of the blogs about the proper use of this skin care formula by Dr. Alvin. They said that it is okay if you don't use the soap for 2 to 3 minutes as per the instruction. If it doesn't feel good, you can rinse the soap off immediately. You can also skip the toner and moisturizer part if you can't take it.
I also heard that you will be feeling the effect on the third day where redness will occur followed by the peeling. I am excited and at the same time, nervous about it because my greatest fear is to look like a snake changing its skin and I am not sure how to hide it in the office.
This post is going to be updated regularly until I reach the 30th day so please bear with me in this little experiment of mine. If anything happens, let's sue that Dr. Alvin guy. lol!
